Tree Resistance Workshop 2018

Proceedings

We are requesting that all presenters (talks and posters) provide a manuscript for the Workshop Proceedings. We are offering three options for doing this—1. Full-length Paper, 2. Extended Abstract, and 3. Meeting Abstract.

  • We have extended the initial manuscript due date from October 31 to December 15, 2018. We will be requesting that you submit your abstract via this link: https://uky.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_71xs1Tife2YsAHr
  • Formatting instructions for these three options are provided here. For Meeting Abstract submissions, please consider revising your original if needed, to provide a take home message or conclusion instead of just making a statement such as “we will discuss our current results”.
  • For all options, we ask that you have your manuscript reviewed by at least two peers before submitting it and provide the reviewers’ names upon submission.  Additional peer-review may be provided through the editors, as indicated in the instructions. The Proceedings will be published by the USDA Forest Service, Southern Research Station as a General Technical Report (GTR).

There will be two different post-workshop publications: 1) an online peer-reviewed Workshop Proceedings will include all accepted abstracts, but participants can instead choose to submit an extended abstract or full manuscript  and 2) a special issue in the journal Plants, People, Planet (http://nph.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/hub/plants-people-planet.html).

To learn more, please review page two of this call for abstracts.

Important dates for these publications include:

  • Invitation to submit paper to Special Issue of Plants, People, Planet notice by August 17, 2018
  • Final manuscript submissions to Special Issue of Plants, People, Planet due by October 19, 2018
